Artemis Yoga is excited to share two new outdoor yoga series for kids and middle school girls this fall. Classes will be held outdoors at Filippello Park in Watertown for as long as the weather holds out!
1. Kids Outdoor Yoga Series – starts September 30th!
Join on Wednesday afternoons outdoors through the end of October and then move indoors to Zoom or the Artemis Yoga classroom for the remainder of the series. Class is an hour-long yoga class for elementary school aged children led by experienced educator and yoga instructor, Tracy Affonso.
September 30th – December 9th, 10 Wednesdays, 3:30 – 4:30 pm

2. Middle School Girls Empowerment Outdoor Yoga Series – starts October 2nd!
Join on Friday afternoons outdoors for Artemis Girls: Stand Strong, Stand Tall ™, a girls empowerment program for middle school age girls. This popular program builds strength, stamina and self-confidence in order to navigate the challenges this school year will bring. By incorporating breath awareness and mindfulness activities, girls will notice how being quiet makes them feel more confident and resilient. Classes include weekly yoga, mindfulness, and breath awareness activities along with group collaboration and art and creative activity centered on themes. Led by Tracy Affonso, an experienced school educator and youth yoga and mindfulness instructor and Amy Hrobak, a licensed clinical social worker and yoga instructor with a specialty in adolescents.
October 2nd – November 6th, 6 Fridays, 3:30 – 4:45 pm
Registration fee: $150, includes all materials for art activities. Bring your own yoga mat.
OUTDOOR LOCATION: Filippello Park at 109 Arlington Street, Watertown on at the Arlington Street Field side of the park. In the event of rain or on the last session on Nov 6th after the time change, the class will have 2 indoor options: Zoom or at Artemis Yoga Studio at 639 Mt. Auburn Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
